iPod nano, iTunes 5, HP (no, not that HP) iPod

iPod nanoHoly crap. This is freakin’ awesome. It’s like the iPod photo and the iPod shuffle got drunk one night and 9 months later… iPod nano. How cool is this?! Available in 2GB and 4GB flavors AND either white or black, it looks like it’s replacing the iPod mini, not just being added to the family. Look at how small and CUTE it is! The only odd thing is that the headphone jack seems to be at the bottom of the device, rather than at the top. Strange. Anyway, available now for $199/$249. As much as I dislike buying things from the Apple store, I’ll have to stop by sometime to check this out.

Harry Potter iPodOf course, Apple announcements usually comes in groups. iTunes 5 was released. Get it at Apple’s site here. They’ve also announced a limited edition HP iPod… except this time, instead of Hewlett-Packard, it’s another famous HP: Harry Potter! It’s a 20GB iPod with the Hogwarts crest engraved on the back. It looks like it’s only available for purchase if you buy The Complete Harry Potter audio box set, which includes all 6 Harry Potter books, and a few extras. I had to use iTunes to find the price: it’s $299, like a regular 20GB iPod, but it seems like you can buy it only if you buy the audio box set ($249). Hmph. Anyway, Apple has a whole page dedicated to it, so you can read all about it here.

Oh yeah, and they (finally) announced their iTunes phone, the Motorola ROKR E1. I want my cell phone to play mp3s, but I don’t necessarily think it needs to have iTunes to play mp3s. Still waiting for my Ultimate Cell Phone…

Voodoo Knife Holder

VoodooI’m so tired right now my eyes are only half open and it hurts to stand, so I did almost a triple-take when I saw this posting. Isn’t it so crazy-looking? It’s so WOAH that I originally made the image smaller to fit the post better, but changed my mind to maximize the shock effect. :P Made of tough ABS plastic, and designed by someone who has a lot of repeated letters in his name (Raffaele Iannello). I love everything about it though - from the redness of it to where the knives go. I can’t make up my mind of which knife location I like best: the one in the head or the one in the heart. I’d totally get it, except I don’t think my mom would appreciate it very much. :P
